Today, the most important spiritual leader in Laos - Monk Khamchant - was cremated. Many thousands of monks and people gathered all along the main street of Loang Probang and said farewell to the monk. The body was cremated in a big ceremony in the afternoon. Accourding to Buddhist belief, the spirit remains and will re-birth sometime in the future.
