Just 5 min from Downtown San Diego, is a really big and beautiful garden called Balboa Park. There are some very good museums there such as "The museum of men", "San Diego Art Museum" and "San Diego Photography Musem". There are also plenty of green spaces, long walking trails, Spanish Garden, and nice relaxing atmosphere. I strongly recommend to visit.See the parks site here
