Rizal memorial Park - Manila

Rizal is a national hero in Philippines. Perhaps THE national hero. He was an intellectual that pissed off the ruling Spanish with his national freedom ideas enough to be executed. His execution ignited riots all around the country and led, eventually, to the declaration of free Philippines.
The memorial for Rizal is pretty unusual set of statues reviving the execution. When you see this place, these ideas written on the walls about the right of the people to pursue their happiness and live safely in their country, you wonder if it is not the time to have a new version of Rizal overthrowing the current government and letting the people of the Philippines have fair chance to live good life in their own country.
