This day was suppposed to be just another tranquil day in the life of the globe-trotters. The morning sum promised another beautiful day on the beach. After few especially lazy days, we decided to take a canoe and raw to the neighbouring island - Phi Phi Leh. It sounded innocent task. But it was not. Within 30 minutes to our rawing, the sun disappeared behind heavy rain clouds. We just managed to reach the other island and found a private little beach to hide from the stirm. Luckily for us, the storm turned back to an (almost) sunny sky just as fast as it became stormy. So we could enjot the rest of the day surrounded by amazing views of tourquise laguna waters surrounded by green clifs of tropical vegetation. But it was too early to feel comfortable. As we started to return back to our little beach on the other side, a new, and even worst, storm broke once again. Too far to go back and wait, and not close enough to our home to be safe, we had to navigate our little canoe to the shore ridding waves few meters high (it was more than 1 and less than 3 meters, and it was bigger than anything I ever saw in Israel in my life). When we finnaly arrived to our beach, the guy that rented us the canoe jumped on us and took this photo. It was then that we realized he never before saw people doing this ride in such harsh conditions before.
We spend the rest of the day doing absolutely nothing. I found it too hard to turn from my back to my stomack as both sides, as well as my arms, legs and palms, were really in pain.
But nothing will deter the Globe trotters, and just 12 hours after this unforggetable day, we are back on the road, sailing from Phi Phi to Krabi. But that's on the next update...
