Annapura mountains. A chain of mountains with some of the highest peaks in the Himalaya mountains. Ok, its not THE Everest with its 8,882m peak but its not much less, Annapurna-I reachs 7,777m. For "normal" travelers like ourselves, anywhere above 4,000m you start wishing you were back at lower altitude, and above 6,000m you can't really breath. For 99.9% of travelers, us included, those peaks are just a point to look at from thousands of meters below them. So, Annapurna with its 7,700m peak was good enough for us.The full trek around the Annapurna chain takes about 13 days for the rough traveler. For us it took 20 days. We like stopping at nice places for an extra night. Wake up after 9am, and take our time as we walk about the trek. Stop for lunch, and sometimes make a tea break. That's how we make a 13 days trek in 20 days. And, we LOVED it !
After we ended the trek, we celebrated at the nice city of Pokara but that's for the next item.
